Beyond The Wand

Today I was introduced to what I will call “Fix-it Freezes”

une-petite-etincelle:

Instructions: Cut a slip of paper and find an empty water bottle. (Preferably, one that you used.)

The person who told me about these used them against her co-workers and people who wished her ill-will. She told me to write on the slip of paper whatever action I wanted to be ceased. For example, she wanted her co-worker B to stop disrespecting her, by calling her names and bad mouthing her. She wrote these specific actions and her wish regarding them on a slip of paper and put them in an empty bottle. She then visualized those actions being submersed in the cleansing water that she filled her bottle with and closed the lid on it. Then she put it in the freezer and the spell was done. Within a week the co-worker’s attitude dramatically changed, she hasn’t been harassed or bothered since the negativity was captured and essentially frozen.

I believe that this is a simple enough concept that it can be applied to a wide array of problems. I love simple solutions.

This is quite elegant in its simplicity, and once again demonstrates that magic is no less effective for using contemporary technology and methods you make up yourself.

I do see some weak spots with this, though - the bottle is going to take up room in the freezer, it could eventually break, or it might melt during a defrost.  I suppose it would be all right if you didn’t expect the person to be in your life indefinitely, though.
